The EU might “act quickly and firmly” against what it deems “unjustified” travel bans issued by the United States on five European individuals involved in fighting online hate and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson stated.

EU Officials Condemn US Move as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders including the French president accused the US administration of “coercion and intimidation”, after the visa restrictions targeted individuals that were at the heart of efforts to introduce legislation governing American tech companies.
